The 41st Annual Conference on Conservation of Archival, Library & Media materials

The 41st Annual Conference on “ Conservation of Archival, Library & Media materials”, of the Indian Association for the Study of Conservation of Cultural Property, New Delhi held in collaboration with Karnatka State Archives , BANGLORE on 22 st-24 rd January 2009, in the premises of State Archives at Vidhan Suda, Banglore. Prof. Dr. P Balram ( Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) has inaugurated the event and stated importance of conserving objects and old things in his inaugural speech.

Over the sessions by the technical aspects in the field presented in the form of papers and posters by researchers and professionals in the field. Meanwhile the elections for forming new executive body was carried out and newly form executive body presided by Dr. MV Nair who was reelected by all the members. The post conference tour was organized on last day of the conference as delegates were taken to the field trip to the important monuments and cultural institutions around Shrirangapattana and Mysore.
